Sprayable Hybrid Polymer Body Seam Sealer, Black (Shore A 35)
The sprayable one-component sealant AXIOM® ASK512 based on low-viscosity hybrid polymers is intended for sealing body joints, welded seams and lap joints in transport and industrial mechanical engineering. It is used in the manufacture and repair of passenger cars, trucks and commercial vehicles, including for restoring original factory coatings. It creates a durable anti-corrosion and sound-insulating coating. Effective for sealing hard-to-reach places. It is applied with a gun, brush or spatula.
Ready for use, it requires no priming or preparatory materials before application. It is characterised by excellent adhesion to all materials used in body work, including ferrous and non-ferrous metals, painted surfaces and various types of plastic (except polyethylene, polypropylene and fluoroplastic).
It withstands compression, tension and shear. It reduces vibration and noise and is resistant to loads. Shore A hardness (GOST 263-75) — 60.
Homogeneous, it does not form bubbles and does not shrink. Thixotropic, when applied it does not run and does not slide down the seam. Resistant to ageing, to the effects of temperature fluctuations and adverse weather factors. The MS-polymer (MS polymer) can be painted both over the wet layer and after the surface skin has formed, within 2 hours of application (carry out a trial test before painting). Chemically neutral, it does not react with the materials being sealed, does not cause corrosion of metals and is suitable for application to surfaces made of delicate materials. Odourless, environmentally safe, non-toxic and non-flammable, it contains no isocyanates, solvents or silicones. For interior and exterior work.
- Work is recommended at a temperature between +5°C and +35°C.
- Apply the sealant to clean, degreased surfaces.
- For neat work, use masking tape and remove it immediately after applying the sealant.
- Use a special pneumatic gun for application. Cut off the screw head of the tube above the thread and place the tube into the gun.
- Spray the sealant from a distance of 30‑40 cm.
- To obtain the required coating texture it is recommended to carry out a test spray, adjusting the ratio between the atomising air flow and the sealant fed from the cartridge.
- If necessary, the sealant can be applied with a brush or a spatula, giving the previously applied bead the required shape and texture.
- Full curing takes place under the action of atmospheric moisture within 3‑7 days.
- Skin formation time — at least 20 minutes, sealant curing rate — 3–4 mm per day (at a temperature of +23°C and a relative humidity of 50%).
- Clean surfaces contaminated with freshly applied sealant using a solvent. Remove the cured compound mechanically.
- The finished coating may be used at temperatures between –40°C and +110°C.
Attention! On completion of work, to avoid clogging the spray head, clean it in accordance with the instructions for the pneumatic gun. Do not use on surfaces where contact with food is possible. Not suitable for continuous immersion in water.

Здравствуйте! Нигде не могу найти информацию по поводу окраса герметика. Подскажите, можно ли производить окрас герметика акриловой краской. Если да то как? Через какой интервал времени можно окрашивать. Нужен ли использовать какой-то адгезионный грунт?

После высыхания герметик может быть окрашен большинством видов красок. Но для каждой краски нужно проводить пробное окрашивание.
