Tire Bead Sealer
High-quality bead sealant AXIOM® AS802 eliminates air leaks between the rim and the bead of a tubeless tyre. Dries quickly, does not shrink and separates easily during removal. Suitable for use on any type of tubeless tyre for cars and trucks. Applying the sealant in several layers makes it possible to repair bead damage up to 3 mm deep.
- Mark the point of the air leak between the wheel rim and the tyre bead and press the tyre bead off the wheel on a tyre fitting machine.
- Remove the residues of the old sealant and degrease the surface using the “Universal buffer degreaser” А9106.
- Apply a thin layer of sealant to the marked area of the bead with a brush.
- Dry the sealant until the solvent has completely evaporated and inflate the tyre to working pressure. To shorten the drying time a hairdryer can be used.
- If a slight leak remains after the tyre has been inflated, it can easily be eliminated by tapping the tyre and the wheel in the leak area. If the leak is significant because of mechanical damage to the tyre bead or the wheel, the tyre should be removed, cleaned of dirt, wiped dry and the repair area degreased with the buffer cleaner. Coat the damaged area of the bead with sealant 2–3 times with intermediate drying and refit the tyre.
