High-Temperature RTV Silicone Sealant, Gray
The universal high-temperature one-component automotive silicone sealant AXIOM® AS205 with a neutral curing system is used for sealing and assembling vehicle units exposed to high temperatures, such as the gearbox housing cover, the thermostat housing, the sump and the water pump. It can be applied to standard gaskets to improve their service properties (not recommended for use on the cylinder head). It contains no solvents or acids, does not cause corrosion and is used for sealing electrical connections and sensors.
It is characterised by excellent adhesion to surfaces made of metal, plastic, glass and rubber. It is suitable for sealing and repairing vehicle headlights and stops leaks through vehicle glass seals. Thixotropic, when applied it does not run and does not slide down vertical surfaces. It vulcanises at room temperature (RTV) and forms a strong, flexible gasket.

- Not degraded by oils, water, antifreeze or other automotive technical fluids.
- Resistant to loads and vibration, it has a wide service temperature range: from -50°C to +350°C.
- High elasticity: withstands compression, tension, shear and vibration loads.
- For 26–28 linear metres at a bead diameter of 3 mm.
- Work is recommended at an ambient temperature between 5°C and 40°C and a sealant temperature of 20–25°C.
- The sealant is applied to clean, dry and degreased surfaces. To remove traces of old sealant it is recommended to use A9605 “Sealant remover”, for degreasing and cleaning – A9601 “Brake and clutch parts cleaner”.
- Remove the tamper-evident tab and take off the protective cap. Activate the applicator by smoothly turning its head clockwise towards “MAX”; the applicator trigger will then rise into the working position.
- The bead thickness is controlled by the pressure on the trigger, the speed at which the applicator is moved and the angle between the nozzle and the application surface.
- Apply the sealant as a continuous uniform bead to one of the surfaces, first along the inner perimeter, then around the fastener holes. Join the surfaces immediately, before the silicone has set. After the sealant has vulcanised, no additional retightening of the bolts is required.
- On completion of work, to fully close the valve and prevent unwanted dispensing, turn the applicator head anticlockwise as far as it will go towards “MIN”, clean the nozzle and fit the protective cap.
- Clean surfaces contaminated with sealant using a solvent (white spirit, acetone) before the sealant cures.
- Remove excess cured sealant mechanically using A9605 “Sealant remover”.
- Skin formation time – 10-12 minutes, sealant vulcanisation rate – 2 mm per day (at a temperature of +23°C and a relative humidity of 55%).

2. Какой максимальный зазор уплотнения может покрывать данный герметик.+
