AXIOM® SEAL Self-Leveling Hybrid Polymer Seam Sealer, White (Shore A 30)
High-quality self-levelling sealant AXIOM® ASK521 based on hybrid polymers is designed for sealing body joints, weld seams, gaps, cracks and lap joints in the manufacture and repair of cars, trucks and commercial vehicles, special-purpose vehicles (cash-in-transit vans, ambulances, refrigerated vehicles), motorhomes and trailers. Widely used in the assembly of marine transport (elements above the waterline), railway carriages, air conditioning and ventilation systems, etc.
It holds a type approval certificate of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. It creates a durable anti-corrosion coating and reduces vibration and noise. It has excellent adhesion to all materials used in body work, including ferrous and non-ferrous metals, painted surfaces and various types of plastic (except polyethylene, polypropylene and fluoroplastic).
It does not shrink and does not form bubbles. Chemically neutral, it does not cause corrosion of metals and is suitable for items made of delicate materials. Odourless, environmentally safe, non-toxic and non-flammable, it contains no isocyanates, solvents or silicones. Resistant to ageing, temperature fluctuations and adverse weather factors. For interior and exterior work.
- Work is recommended at a temperature between +5°C and +35°C.
- Apply the sealant to clean, degreased surfaces. For neat work, use masking tape and remove it immediately after applying the sealant.
- Apply the compound as a continuous bead, without breaks, runs or voids.
- Smooth the resulting seam with a wet spatula.
- Skin formation time is at least 20 minutes, sealant curing rate — 2–3 mm per day (at a temperature of +23°C and a relative humidity of 50%). Full curing takes place within 3–7 days.
- Clean surfaces contaminated with freshly applied sealant using a solvent. Remove the cured compound mechanically.
- The finished coating may be used at temperatures between –60°C and +90°C.
Attention! Do not use on surfaces where contact with food is possible. Not suitable for continuous immersion in water.
