Professional 1K stone chip coating HS AXIOM® A4196 is designed for creating and restoring a textured elastic coating on new and repaired vehicle parts (sills, wheel arches, plastic, etc.). Protects against stones and sand and against oils, petrol, water and salts.
It has good adhesion and sound-insulating properties and retains its elasticity in the cold season. Dries quickly and can be painted over with any type of 2K enamel or clearcoat.
- Use at a temperature of not less than +10°C.
- Protect the surfaces that are not to be treated.
- Before application the substrates must be cleaned, dried, degreased and abraded with an abrasive material:
- old coating, steel: P180 ➡ P240;
- aluminium, galvanised or stainless steel: red matting pad.
- Before use, shake the can vigorously for 3–5 minutes.
- For application, use a stone chip gun with a working pressure of 2-5 bar and a nozzle diameter of 2-5 mm.
- Apply the compound, avoiding runs, from a distance of not less than 20–30 cm in 1–2 coats. Drying between coats: 10–20 minutes at 20°C.
- Drying time before applying the subsequent coating (painting with enamels) — 60 minutes at 20°C.
- Close the container of compound tightly after use.
