1K Gloss Acrylic Clear Coat
The AXIOM® A9685-1 one-component high-gloss acrylic gloss clearcoat is intended for creating a protective coating during local body repair. It gives a decorative gloss to painted and unpainted metal and plastic parts and is suitable for decorative work, including the painting of wood. It is suitable for the restoration of mouldings, handles, bumpers, wing mirrors and the like. It has high UV resistance, which makes it possible to use it for exterior and interior work. It does not yellow and makes the coating resistant to mechanical impact and abrasion. It has excellent flow, outstanding adhesion to the surface being painted and increased weather resistance.
It dries quickly and is easy to use. It is compatible with base coats, both water-based and solvent-based.
- To avoid aerosol overspray marks, it is recommended to protect the surfaces that are not to be clearcoated.
- For best results, the clearcoat should be used at a temperature of not below +10°C.
- Before use, shake the can vigorously for 2–3 minutes.
- Apply the clearcoat, avoiding runs, from a distance of 25–30 cm onto a clean, dry and thoroughly degreased surface in 2–3 coats with intermediate drying of 5–10 minutes.
- Tack-free drying time at a temperature of +20°C — 20–30 minutes. Complete drying time at a temperature of +20°C — 2 hours.
